REPORT ANIMAL CRUELTY

Animal cruelty, dog fighting and animal neglect are issues that are all too common in our area. The reality of these activities touches the lives of all citizens, pet-owning and non-pet-owning alike.  To protect animals from cruelty, abuse or neglect situations, we employ and equip a fully trained and certified Humane Society Agent appointed by the Pickaway County Court. 

 Our humane investigations team works diligently to end animal cruelty and neglect through education, investigation, and prosecution of offenders. Our officers are empowered to enforce the State of Ohio animal protection laws within the jurisdiction of Pickaway County (ORC 959). Improper care of animals, including acts of malice, lack of sufficient food, water, shelter and veterinary treatment, is against the law and may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of law!
