Progress Page

On the road to recovery.

This page is where you will find animals who would love to find a forever home but first must seek medical attention along with some extra love before they are ready to join a new family. Unfortunately, because of the nature of CAHS' mission to intervene and be a voice for the abandoned, neglected and abused animals of Pickaway county many have had a very rough start to life. This oftentimes requires very expensive and tiring treatment on the road to recovery.

Once these animals have been given a clean bill of health they will be placed for adoption seeking a special family that is willing to embrace any ongoing challenges these animals may have.

Stop back often. We will continually update this page with progress reports on our bravest animals fighting for a fresh start. Consider being a partner in their fight for life by becoming a pet sponsor.

"Sweet to everyone she meets"

Mama loves cuddling, a lap dog in her own mind. Motherly tendencies make her very gentle and affectionate. She follows volunteers like a shadow, tail wagging, around the shelter while tending to the other animals.

Mama loves soft beds and cheese flavored "cookies".

Mama's Story

This girl is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.  Sadly, it will take a long time for this girl to be healthy enough to find a home. She came to us with heart worms and mammary tumors that will need to be removed.

Helping Mama

She has been used as a puppy making machine for years. Despite this, she is sweet to everyone she meets! If you would like to donate to Mamma's care, she will very much appreciate it! It will be a long process, but trust me, she is so worth it!

Donations can be made securely online in any amount. You can also become Mama's personal guardian angel through sponsorship.
